Filipino French pâtisserie in Newbury
House of Pinoy is my independent, one-woman Filipino French pâtisserie in Newbury, established in 2025. Every order is baked fresh by hand, in small batches, so it reaches you at its very best. House of Pinoy blends Filipino flavours with French pâtisserie technique, and I cater for gluten free and non gluten.
Our story
House of Pinoy started in my own kitchen, baking the treats I grew up with for friends, family and neighbours. There is no factory and no shortcuts, just careful baking that brings Filipino flavours and French pâtisserie together. Whether it is a weekend treat or something special for a celebration, I would love to bake it for you.
What we bake
A menu of Filipino French pâtisserie: breads and rolls, cakes and bakes, custards and desserts, cookies and treats, and hand-picked bake boxes for sharing. Allergen information is shown on every product. Find me at the Newbury Artisan Market on the last Sunday of every month, or shop online now.
Afternoon tea, cakes, corporate and gifts
House of Pinoy is more than a menu. As well as ordering bakes online, you can enquire about Filipino afternoon tea for groups, order celebration cakes from a set range, arrange corporate treats for your team, or give a gift voucher. Afternoon tea and cakes come with free local delivery within 10 miles of Newbury.
How delivery works
There are three ways to receive an order: UK postage for smaller items that travel well, local delivery within 10 miles for larger orders and fresh bakes, and collection in person at an arranged time. The collection address is private and shared only once your order is confirmed. See delivery and returns for full details.
Allergens and food safety
House of Pinoy follows UK food information rules, including Natasha's Law. I cater for gluten free and non gluten, and never bakes the two alongside each other. Allergens are listed clearly on every product, so check the item you are ordering. Bakes are made in a kitchen that also handles nuts, sesame seeds, milk, egg and soya, so please check the allergen information before ordering. Read the Food Standards Agency allergen guidance for more.
Frequently asked questions
How do I receive my order?
There are three ways: UK postage for smaller bakes, local delivery within 10 miles, and collection in person. You choose at checkout. The collection address is shared privately once your order is confirmed.
Where can I find allergen information?
Allergen information is shown on every product. I cater for gluten free and non gluten, so check the item you are ordering. The Ube Entremet and the financiers are gluten free; the Polvoron contains flour. Gluten free bakes are never baked alongside anything containing flour. Everything is baked in a home kitchen that also handles nuts, sesame seeds, milk, egg and soya, so please check each product and get in touch if you have a specific allergy.
How fresh are the bakes?
Everything is baked fresh to order in small batches, so your order is made as close to your delivery or collection date as possible.
Do you make celebration cakes?
Yes. Celebration cakes are made to order from a set range of designs and flavours, for free local delivery or collection within 10 miles of Newbury. Send a cake enquiry with your flavour, size and date and I will confirm the price before anything is paid.
Do you do afternoon tea?
Yes. Filipino afternoon tea is £25 per head for groups from a minimum of 12 guests, with free local delivery or collection within 10 miles of Newbury. Choose three pastries from the menu and scones come as standard.
When are you available?
I bake Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. I am closed Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and bank holidays, though you can send an enquiry any day. Deliveries go out Wednesday to Saturday. Order the day before for next-day delivery. Everything is made fresh to order, so please allow a little notice for your chosen date.
How do I pay?
Payments are taken securely by card at checkout. The basket stays on this site, the card is taken on a secure payment page, and this website never sees a card number.
Can I return or exchange an order?
For hygiene reasons, we are unable to exchange or refund any product, unless faulty.
Where can I find you in person?
You can always find me at the Newbury Artisan Market, the last Sunday of every month, 10am to 4pm. Come and say hello.
