• The Polvoron is made with flour and is not suitable for coeliacs.

Made genuinely gluten free

• Gluten free items are made gluten free.
• I bake the gluten free items separately from the ones that contain flour, never at the same time. Non-negotiable.
• The kitchen handles nuts, sesame seeds, milk, egg and soya across everything, so check those on the allergen list.
• Allergen information is shown on every product before you order, in line with Natasha's Law.

Ordering a gluten free cake for your event

• The Ube Entremet is gluten free, serves 8 to 10 and is made to order by enquiry, with other flavours possible if you ask.
• The set celebration cakes, Ube and Pandan, are made to order with 2 weeks' notice and payment in full to confirm your date.
• No custom designs, just two flavours done properly. Check with me about gluten before you book one of those.
• Cakes go out by free local delivery or collection within 10 miles of Newbury. Not sent by post, too delicate to travel that way.

Frequently asked questions

Are all of your cakes gluten free?

No. I cater for gluten free and non gluten. The Ube Entremet and all of the financiers are gluten free. The Polvoron contains flour. For anything else, check the allergen list on the product or ask before you order.

Do you bake gluten free and gluten items at the same time?

No. Gluten free bakes are made as their own separate bakes, never at the same time as anything containing flour. It is how I have always worked and it is not something I compromise on.

Is your kitchen free from other allergens?

It is a home kitchen and it handles nuts, sesame seeds, milk, egg and soya, so it is not an allergen-free environment. Allergen information is shown on every product, so check the item you are ordering and mention any allergy when you enquire.

How far in advance do I need to order a celebration cake?

At least 2 weeks' notice, with payment in full to confirm your date. Cakes are baked fresh to order from a set range of two flavours, Ube and Pandan. The gluten free Ube Entremet is ordered by enquiry.

Do you deliver cakes across Newbury and West Berkshire?

Yes, free local delivery or collection is available within 10 miles of Newbury, covering areas including Wash Common, Thatcham, Hungerford, Kingsclere and Hermitage. Cakes are not sent by post.
